Summary: Bernd is planning an Oktoberfest party and after talking to Wolfgang Greta decides she needs to make sure he does it right…
Author’s note: Thanks to my beta Kat for pinking this for me. Please note that Greta and Amber also belong to her.

“You know, the boy is planning something, Old Man,” Greta said as she snaked her arms around Wolfgang. Snuggling in when he wrapped his arms around her, she loved the deep bass rumblings in his chest as he replied.

“I know. It’s an Oktoberfest party for you.”

“And you’re okay with that, preußisch?”

“There is no Preußen, Liebschen, hasn’t been for years.”

Greta pulled away and wriggled in his embrace to look up at him. She snorted in amusement. “And that’s why you’re fine with this?” she said in German. “There’s no Preußen, but because there’s a Barvaria it’s okay?”

Wolfgang nodded. “The last time Bernd held one, Amber did all the work, so it was more American than German. All they did was drink beer, eat pretzels, grill some bratwursts, play oompah music, and eat Didi’s strudel. They held it on Reunification Day as part of Didi’s birthday celebration and to be honest with you, I’m surprised Amber’s letting him throw another one.”

Greta laughed. “He does delegate more than he should. I heard they did some pasta thing too.”

“Yeah, which turned out more like Sunday dinner at Luigi’s than anything else.” Wolfgang grinned.

“So, I should just plan on it being a drunken orgy then?”

Wolfgang’s cheeks heated up to his ears which Greta found adorable. “Ja…” he said, forgetting his English. He was well aware of what his sons got up to, as much as he pretended to be ignorant of it. He had slept with Greta on several occasions, something else he liked to think never happened, since she was Amber’s wife as well as his son’s. They were stolen moments that kept life interesting and the odd night or two less lonely. “Tell Amber not to worry; I’ll look after little Fritz for her. I’ll even take him over to Luigi’s for the night so his nonno can play with him.”

“And that’s why I like you, Old Man.” Greta grinned.

“I’m sure you’ll find a way to thank me when it’s over.” Wolfgang grinned back. He kissed her forehead, before stepping back.

“I’m sure I will. Now, I’d better go find Amber and find out what exactly Bernd is planning so we can make sure he does it right.” And with that, Greta left to go find her wife and their silly “husband.”
